This is the response I got from Gabe:

From: "Gabe Newell"

We need to do PS3 development in-house. It is going to take some time for us to spin up.

So this might be the hope we were looking for :)

Horray for PS3 players.

Well, if this is the case, then I would like to give Gabe a LOT of credit. He was pretty anti-PS3 and he still very well maybe. But to go from an almost "definitely not" attitude to willing to take the effort in-house and really get to learn the system takes a lot of guts.

If Valve does do a TF2 for the PS3, I would buy it to support them. I hope Gabe and Valve are able to easily tap into the power of the PS3 to bring us some really great games and content. They've done it for the PC and 360 with great success, I can only wish them the same success with the PS3.

I think a little too late on this. Think about the thousands of people that bought that crappy Orange box for the PS3 and they cried out for a patch to make it aleast playable. I've lost count on the total number on that petition for Valve to fix the game. Valve doesn't need anyones support, they need to wake up and realize people notice when they try to make a quick buck. Good luck to them.
